She Reads Too Much
There are a million other things I should be doing with my time...cleaning my house, riding my motorcycle, cooking my family dinner, talking to my Mother on the phone. But I can't. I just....can't. There are too many good books to read.
The Kiss
Wow. I'm really disappointed in this book. It has some elements I love, gay for you, first time, coming out...but sadly I found it poorly done. Personally I think that telling the majority of the story from Claire's point if view was a bad decision. While I don't mind women in my M/M romances they sure as hell should not have a starring role. And Claire does. For most of the book I found her to be quite the bitch. Her abrupt switch to caring and supportive in the last portion of the book was not believable to me at all.
While Scott and Ian are young (25 & 21 respectively) I was put off by the immaturity of their actions and words. Scott in particular is quite childish.
Ian is okay but nothing drew me to him.
Because most of the story was told by Claire I was not connected to Scott or Ian.
I can't recommend this book to any of my friends. I kept reading in hopes of finding a connection. To anyone. Anything. But it simply fell flat.
