2.5 stars rounded up to 3This book was going so well, the insights into Cole's past causing twinges all along the way. What a damaged character and what potential to have a wonderful healing/comfort story where Jeremy helps Cole come to terms with his past.
But...it never came to fruition. And that made me so sad.
About 3/4 of the way through the book, when things could have gotten more intense - should have gotten more intense - the author seemed to drop the ball. It was like she had a word count in mind and DID not want to exceed it. And that hurt the story.
I think another 100 pages could have done things more justice.
