She Reads Too Much

There are a million other things I should be doing with my time...cleaning my house, riding my motorcycle, cooking my family dinner, talking to my Mother on the phone. But I can't. I just....can't. There are too many good books to read.

Hungry for Love

Hungry for Love - Rick R. Reed I had to give this a 1-star review and a DNF.

The plot had promise. Sweet, almost a virgin, Brandon makes a profile on an online dating site hoping to find a relationship. He doesn't want a hook-up. He wants something deeper, longer lasting. He wants to connect and settle down. However the entire first chapter is some info dump. Ugh.

One drunken night Hannah, Nate's sister, and her co-worker make a profile on the same site that they model after Nate. Mostly. Hannah finds and pretty much falls for Brandon and emails him as Nate. They strike up a correspondence of sorts. Really only like three messages and then Brandon asks to meet.

Hannah comes clean to Nate, asks him to meet and let Brandon down nicely.

Nate is portrayed as a man-whore but is kinda getting tired of the scene. He agrees to meet Brandon, let him down gently and move on.

But they meet. And it's trwe lurve. I guess.

And Hannah follows Nate and spies on them.

And she sort of meets a straight guy in a gay bar.

And she calls her friend to meet her because she's upset Nate left with Brandon and didn't let him down. And they get drunk.

Then Hannah keeps emailing Brandon, acting as Nate. The thing that pushed me over the edge was a very mean spirited email she sent.

I don't have time for bitches like that. In fact I didn't connect enough with her enough to care if she redeems herself. And that hurt my overall enjoyment of the story.

So, I quit.
